Since last winter I've been with the Avatar Repertory Theater in Second Life. My first role with this company was as Miranda in Shakespeare's The Tempest. I've posted all my screen shots from this production here.

I then went on to produce, direct and act in a Shakespeare scene festival for the San Diego sim's Shakespeare at the Pavillion event. Some of my screen shots from this event are here.

It's nothing short of a blast working on a show in real time with actors from all over the world and being watched -- again in real time -- by people from all over the world! In our A.R.T. company we have folks from all across the US time zones, Australia, New Zealand and the UK.

Our next production will be coordinated to coincide with the Howard Barker Festival all over the world. We'll be doing pieces from his 13 Objects. Also in production is a Christmas show for December and then I'll be voice directing Alice in Wonderland for next February.

You can follow our activities on Twitter.

Theater in SL -- a cutting edge experiment in vitual community

I guess I should add that for over a year now, I've been acting (voice and avatar movement) in virtual theater in Second Life. My first productions were with the Second Life Shakespeare Company. We did the "mousetrap" scene from Hamlet and then a full length production of Twelfth Night.
